Under Singapore’s Hotel Industry Transformation Map (ITM 2025), the STB aims to increase the adoption of proven and impactful technology solutions such as the E-Visitor Authentication (EVA) system, which uses facial recognition technology to automate a guest’s validation with the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority.

EVA is an API that automates parts of the hotel check-in process by checking the stay validity of international visitors. Integrated with at-visions’ ONEapp self-check-in solution, EVA creates a fully frictionless check-in experience. To encourage adoption, the STB launched the EVA-Ready Program to match hotels with technology partners whose proven solutions can integrate with EVA.

How EVA fits in. The hotel’s self check-in connects through STB’s EVA system to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority — validating international visitors automatically.
Singapore is not only among the technologically leading countries, it also has a very dynamic tourism eco-system with a lot of tremendous hotels. We look forward to taking the friction out of the check-in process for guests and staff alike.
